Terms of Service

Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Francisco Deus, trading as InvoiceBase (“we”, “us”). We write the software and run this site.
We are not the seller. InvoiceBase is sold through Armitage Labs OÜ (trading as Creem), Estonia, acting as merchant of record. That means Creem is the party you buy from: it takes the payment, calculates and remits VAT, and issues your invoice. Creem's own buyer terms apply to the purchase alongside these terms.
What you are buying
InvoiceBase is self-hosted software for organising the receipts and invoices you receive. Your purchase gives you access to the private source repository and a licence to run the software on your own infrastructure. It is not a hosted service; you deploy and operate it yourself.
Price and payment
InvoiceBase costs €29. One-time payment · VAT included. The price shown is the total you pay: because Creem acts as merchant of record, VAT is included and is handled by Creem according to your country.
€29 is the launch price. It will rise to €59 after launch.
Delivery
Access is delivered immediately after payment, as an invitation to the private GitHub repository sent to the GitHub username you give at checkout, followed by a confirmation email. GitHub invitations expire after seven days. If your invitation does not arrive, email us and we will sort it out.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.
Because access is delivered straight away, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you lose that right once delivery begins. The wording is:
“I want access immediately and I understand that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once the repository invitation is sent.”
That checkbox is on Creem's checkout, because Creem is the seller. You are not required to tick it. If you would rather keep the full 14 days, email us before buying and we will arrange it.
Waiving the right to change your mind does not waive your rights if the software is faulty or not as described. Your statutory rights in respect of defective digital content are unaffected.
Licence
What you may and may not do with the software is set out in the InvoiceBase Personal Use License, which forms part of these terms. In short: use and modify it yourself, for personal or internal business purposes, on your own infrastructure, but don't resell it, sublicense it, or offer it to other people as a hosted service.
Updates
Future versions of the software are included in your purchase under the same licence, for as long as the repository exists. Releases are made at our discretion and on no fixed schedule. The version you hold and your right to keep running it are unaffected.
Support
Support is by email at contact@invoicebase.dev. We aim to answer within a few working days. No response time is guaranteed. Support covers getting the software running and working as described. It does not extend to general administration of your server.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of it. You are responsible for backing up the data you put into your own installation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection rules. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights apply in full.
Using this website
Don't attempt to disrupt this site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use its forms to send unsolicited mail. We may block access if you do.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you bought, and the date at the top tells you when this version was issued.
